The CYG505 miniature gauge pressure sensor with a nominal outer diameter of 5mm and its derivative threaded installation type CYG506 are specifically designed for water flow dynamics research. A specially designed micro low range pulsating pressure sensor with small external dimensions, minimal flow field disturbance, low range, high sensitivity, and good dynamic frequency response is required for the shrinkage experiment.

The pressure sensitive components of CYG505 are designed and manufactured using advanced MEMS (Miro Electronic Mechanical Systems) technology, with three-dimensional integration and double-sided processing. The silicon piezoresistive pressure sensitive components have excellent linear accuracy, and the high consistency of the Wheatstone strain bridge produced by ion implantation and fine lithography technology makes them have very small temperature drift. The optimal mechanical component design, layout design, and precise anisotropic corrosion based on CAD assisted finite element analysis have solved the contradiction between low range linearity and output sensitivity. Microchips with a radial scale as small as 2mm have a range as low as 20kPa and excellent linearity, meeting the accuracy and sensitivity requirements of hydraulic shrinkage measurement.

CYG505 adopts the working mode of pressure bearing on the back of sensitive components, so it can be used for conductive water and other liquid media. When ordering media with special corrosiveness or solubility, please consult with the manufacturer.

In order to prevent the failure of the gauge pressure sensor caused by accidental water immersion at the installation site, CYG505 uses a PVC conduit as ventilation and waterproof protection at the tail outlet, and a micro cable is led out from the hole in the PVC conduit. Due to the difficulty of the process, the maximum length limit for PVC pipes is 7m.

CYG505 is a gauge pressure mode with standard pressure ranges of 25, 40, 60, 100, 160, 250, 400, 600, and 1000 kPa. For the convenience of hydraulic users, orders can also be placed in units of mH2O with ranges of 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100.

The design and production patent of CYG505 has been authorized by the national invention patent, and won the National Invention Patent Excellence Award of the China National Intellectual Property Administration in 2007. The patent number is: ZL.8。

The natural frequency of the low range product of CYG505 sensor reaches 138kHz, which is verified by shock tube testing. It has a usage bandwidth of 0-20kHz and a rise time of less than 1us, meeting the dynamic requirements of hydraulic measurement.

The CYG506 micro bolt mounted sensor is a derivative of CYG505, and its external dimensions are shown in the attached figure.
